How much does a Ground Truth and A2I workforce cost?
$5per person-hour
Standard labeling and review in English. You pay for the hours your reviewers work, not per task, with a trained team, a team lead, QA checks and a weekly report included.

Questions
Do we need to rebuild our pipeline?
No. Ground Truth jobs point at the new work team. For A2I, you create a new review workflow with the same task template and the new team, then switch your code to it.
We used the Mechanical Turk workforce. What happened to it?
Amazon Mechanical Turk closed on 30 September 2026, and the MTurk workforce option was removed from Ground Truth and A2I. A private workforce keeps the same jobs and loops running, with our team working inside it.
Who controls access?
You do. Our people sign in through your private workforce, with Amazon Cognito or your own identity provider, and you can disable any of them from the console at any time.
How do reviewers know when A2I tasks arrive?
AWS documents task notifications for Ground Truth but not for A2I, so your team lead agrees a schedule for working the portal that meets your turnaround, and it's written into your plan.
How is this priced compared with paying per task?
You pay for reviewer hours, not per task: $5 per person-hour for standard work, with the team lead, QA and weekly report included. Your plan shows the total before you pay.
Is Ground Truth still available?
Yes, for existing customers. AWS says Ground Truth and A2I are no longer open to new customers; teams already using them can keep running their jobs and loops as normal.
